For Beach Photos:
I recommend pulling the hair back away from your faces. The wind can be pretty rough sometimes and you don't want to worry about your hair when you are trying to "smile pretty".
Everyone in the same colors or color pallet. No bright or distracting patterns or themes. Solid neutral colors work best. I love white dresses on girls and women. Try to keep everyone in similar clothing. Gingham does not photograph well, so try to keep it simple.
No shoes on the beach, so get those piggies pretty!
No sunglasses for the whole day before pictures. It gives your eyes time to adjust to the light so that you are not squinting.
You may want to bring baby wipes for tiny messes and water to drink. Also, baby powder and a feather duster work wonders for taking the sand off. I also would suggest a change of clothes, especially for the little ones. When there is water, they want to be in it! It makes for great photos, though!
